Greg Dobson

Project Coordinator

Greg comes from a diverse scientific background, having studied marine conservation and ecology before achieving his PhD in sustainable tropical aquaculture from The University of the Sunshine Coast in August 2021. His studies took him to Vietnam, where he developed novel technologies and techniques for the culture of commercially valuable sea cucumber and gastropods alongside government and local farming stakeholders. Greg has also previously worked for the NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI) Port Stephens Fisheries Institute, gaining valuable hands-on experience with the design and construction of RAS, breeding operations of yellowtail kingfish, mulloway, and Australian bass, as well as clinical pharmaceutical trials with salmon in collaboration with CSIRO.

Greg’s role as Project Coordinator takes his knowledge and skills in marine science and aquaculture and applies them to coordinating multiple aspects of project specifics, from project inception and design to construction and completion
