Josh’s degree is in Applied Science, Marine Environment from the University of Tasmania, Australian Maritime College, and the Institute of Marine and Antarctic Studies. After graduation, he spent several years in water! Water systems, processes, wastewater and water body management. He then moved more directly into aquaculture gaining experience in site, project, production, and operations management. Over many years, he successfully and productively managed Mainstream Aquaculture, the largest warm water RAS system in the Southern hemisphere. As well as management of production and operations, Josh was responsible for, and implemented, preventive maintenance plans, and introduced standard operating procedures; he understands intimately, large recirculating aquaculture systems: what makes a good one and how to avoid weak points. With a keen eye to evolving technologies, Josh developed skills for design and installation of new equipment.
