Which model do I need, C50 or C75?
The C50 takes a 7″ × 16.5″ bag (0.17 m² surface area) and suits lower volumes and tighter installs, needing about 530 mm of clearance above the lid for servicing. The C75 takes a longer 7″ × 26″ bag (0.27 m²) for greater dirt-holding capacity and longer runs between change-outs, and needs about 770 mm of servicing clearance. Both share the same 2″ BSP / 40-50 mm connections, 600 kPa rating and 40 °C limit.
What flow rate does it handle?
Flow depends on the duty. As a coarse pre-filter or leaf trap the C50 handles up to 55 LPM (15 gpm) and the C75 up to 88 LPM (23 gpm). For finer, higher-solids filtration Waterco rates them more conservatively at 21 LPM (6 gpm) for the C50 and 33 LPM (9 gpm) for the C75. Match the bag micron and model to your solids load and target flow.
Why polypropylene for aquaculture water?
Seawater, brackish water and dosing chemicals corrode metal housings and can leach metals into sensitive culture water. The Trimline body is moulded in one piece from inert, high-impact polypropylene, so it is a low-cost, reliable strainer for marine, brackish and recirculating aquaculture systems.
