Q: What does seal-less actually mean in practice?

The motor drives the impeller through a magnetic coupling rather than a shaft passing through a mechanical seal, so the part that normally wears, weeps and eventually fails on a conventional pump simply is not there.

Q: Can the UNO run on salt water?

Yes — these pumps are rated for fresh or salt water, with a non-corrosive polypropylene housing and no shaft seal for salt to attack.

Q: What maintenance does a mag drive pump need?

There is no mechanical seal to replace. Keep the inlet clear of debris and rinse the impeller and housing periodically, and the pump largely looks after itself.

Q: What power supply do they need?

All three models run on a single phase motor with a built-in thermal protector.
