Project Overview

FBD completed a filtration installation for Dolphin Marine Magic. This was an Australian Sea Lion exhibit forming part of a new public display for education and entertainment. FBD supplied design and installation of the filtration systems, including horizontal filters, AFM media, an RK2 fractionator, RK2 and Waterco pumps, a CWC ozone generator and a chlorine doser.

Solution

Life support filtration for the exhibit built around horizontal sand filters running AFM media, protein fractionation, ozone injection via a CWC generator and chlorine dosing, with RK2 and Waterco circulation pumps.

System Size

300,000 L exhibit made up of a main display tank and an isolation tank; 3 x 1.2 m dia x 3 m long horizontal Gebel filter housings with 6.5 tonne of AFM media
