Aquarium Fish Net – Fine Mesh

Q: What is the difference between the fine mesh and coarse mesh nets?

The fine mesh has a soft, tightly woven bag for fry and delicate fish; the coarse mesh has an open 1 mm weave with lower drag for moving larger fish quickly.

Q: What hoop sizes are available?

Four hoop widths — 5″ (127 mm), 6″ (152 mm), 8″ (203 mm) and 10″ (254 mm).

Q: Which size should I pick?

5″ and 6″ for fry, small aquarium fish and working in tight corners; 8″ and 10″ for larger tanks where you want to catch a fish in fewer passes.

Q: Is it safe for fry and delicate species?

Yes — the soft, tightly woven mesh is designed to minimise damage to scales and fins, and the fine weave stops fry slipping through.

Q: Can it be used in an aquaponic or hatchery system?

Yes — it is used for routine tank maintenance, selective breeding, health checks and transfers in home aquariums, hatcheries and research facilities.

Q: What is the mesh aperture?

The aperture is not published by the supplier — contact Fresh By Design if you need a confirmed figure before ordering.

Q: How should I care for the net?

Rinse and dry it after use; the compact design makes it easy to clean and store between jobs.
