NSW DPI – Research Rack Systems

These Research Rack Systems were installed at the NSW DPI Fisheries Research site in Narrandera.
NSW Fisheries engaged Fresh by Design to design and install a research tank room that will allow them to conduct controlled research within the facility. Environmental factors such as air temperature and water temperature can be controlled allowing experiments all year round. Research may include, cold water pollution, temperature tolerances, otolith daily ageing, genetics, spawning cues and breeding, and threatened species advancement.

The facility includes:
– 4 x racks each with 4 x 80L glass tanks
– 1 x rack with 20 x 80L glass tanks
– Each rack has individual filtration, temperature control and aeration.
– These Rack Systems were built and assembled in our workshop prior to delivery to reduce the time and cost on site.
