Air Filter

A side channel blower runs a high-speed impeller with tight clearances, so grit or dust drawn in through an unfiltered inlet will score the impeller and housing and shorten the machine’s life.

Size on the blower’s air flow and inlet connection – pick the filter that matches the blower inlet so it passes at least the blower’s full free air delivery in m3/h without adding intake pressure drop.

An undersized or clogged filter starves the blower of air, which raises the intake vacuum, cuts delivered flow and makes the motor run hotter.

Set a routine based on how dusty the plant room is – check it regularly and clean or replace the element before intake restriction starts to affect flow.
