Product Information

Key Features

  • Danfoss gasketed plate heat exchangers, built to order against a duty rather than sold as fixed models
  • Plate materials to suit the water: AISI 304/316 stainless, titanium for seawater and aggressive water, with SMO and Hastelloy available
  • Gaskets in EPDM-HT, NBR-HT or Viton
  • Connections DN25 to DN600 (1″ to 24″), plate lengths up to 5.5 m, flows up to 7,200 m³/h
  • Working pressure up to 35 bar (500 psi); working temperature −20 °C to 180 °C
  • Frames designed to FEA and PED 2014/68/EU (EN13445) or ASME Section VIII Div. 1
  • Keeps culture water separated from the heating or cooling circuit — the way to run off a boiler, bore water or a glycol chiller without exposing stock to it
  • No fixed kW rating is published, because duty depends on the flow rate and inlet temperature on each side. To size one, give Fresh By Design the heat load in kW (or the water volume and temperature lift you need), the flow rate and inlet temperature on both the primary and secondary side, and the water type — we select the plate count, plate material and frame for that duty.
