UltraAqua Non-Corrosive PP UV Systems

Closed-vessel UV systems for disinfecting warm seawater and other corrosive water in aquaculture and aquarium facilities.

Product Information

Key Features

  • Closed-vessel UV-stabilised polypropylene reactors built for warm seawater and other corrosive fluids
  • Standard range covers 5 to 1,650 m³/h, with larger custom reactors made to order
  • ULTRATHERM lamps with a guaranteed 16,000-hour lifetime — around twice the life of a conventional UV lamp
  • ULTRADOSE automated dose pacing trims lamp power to hold the target dose instead of running flat out
  • UV intensity monitoring on a non-corrosive PTFE sensor, with digital ÖNORM certified sensors available
  • Optional ULTRAWIPER automated quartz sleeve wiping, so fouling is dealt with without a shutdown
  • GFRP control cabinet and a titanium-housed temperature sensor to match the corrosive duty; lamp and sleeve changes need no tools
  • Sizing this system: UltraAqua size on three things — your design flow, the UV dose in mJ/cm² your target organism needs, and your measured %UVT. The 5 to 1,650 m³/h figure is the hydraulic range of the standard reactors, not a treatable flow. If your UVT is below 70% you need the LOW UVT series instead, and we recommend 50 µm pre-filtration upstream because organisms sheltering inside particles need a far higher dose than free-swimming ones.

Specifications

ParameterDetail
Standard flow range5 to 1,650 m³/h (5,000 to 1,650,000 LPH). Dose/UVT not published — this is the hydraulic range of the reactors, not a rated disinfection duty
Rated UV doseNot published by supplier — each reactor is sized to your target dose in mJ/cm²
Design UVTNot published by supplier. UltraAqua will measure your UVT free of charge; below 70% UVT use the LOW UVT series
Lamp typeULTRATHERM — lamp pressure type not published by supplier for this series
Lamp life16,000 hours guaranteed
Reactor materialUV-stabilised polypropylene (PP) — higher temperature and pressure resistance than PEHD or PVC
Control cabinetGFRP, specified for corrosive environments
UV sensorNon-corrosive PTFE intensity sensor; digital ÖNORM certified sensor optional
Temperature sensorTitanium housing
Dose controlULTRADOSE automated dose pacing
Sleeve cleaningOptional ULTRAWIPER automated wiping; no tools needed for scheduled maintenance
ConnectionsDIN or ANSI flanges; custom sizes and L, Z or angled configurations available
Recommended pre-filtration50 µm, installed upstream of the UV
