Q: What does the PCSTestr 35 measure?

pH, conductivity, TDS, salinity and temperature — you switch between them with a single button press.

Q: Does it measure dissolved oxygen?

No — it has no oxygen sensor. For DO use a dedicated meter such as the YSI ODO200, Pro20 or Pro2030.

Q: Will it work in seawater?

Salinity reads to 10.00 ppt or 1.00 %, which covers fresh and brackish water but stops short of full-strength seawater at around 35 ppt.

Q: What accuracy does it give?

Eutech does not publish accuracy or resolution figures for this tester beyond pH to two decimal places — ask us if you need a figure confirmed for a specification.

Q: How many calibration points does it take?

Up to five points for pH and up to three points for conductivity, TDS and salinity.

Q: Can I replace the sensor myself?

Yes — the sensor is replaceable without tools, and the replacement sensor is listed in the options dropdown on this page.

Q: What happens if I drop it in the tank?

It is IP67 certified waterproof and light enough to float, so it can be retrieved and kept in service.

Choosing your model: there is one tester, the PCSTestr 35 — order the pen itself for a new instrument, or the replacement sensor on its own when the existing sensor reaches end of life. If you need dissolved oxygen, this pen does not measure it — use a DO meter such as the YSI ODO200 or Pro20 instead.
