Q: How often should the O-rings be replaced?

Every time the quartz sleeve or lamp comes out, which on continuous duty means at least once a year.

Q: What happens if I reuse the old O-rings?

They take a set and lose their squeeze, so the seal weeps — water then reaches the lamp end and the connector and destroys both.

Q: Is the quartz sleeve gasket included?

The 960533-P sleeve gasket is listed separately in the SMART UV spare parts range and fits every model — order it alongside the kit if you are not certain.

Q: There is no kit shown for my 18 W — what do I do?

No O-ring service kit is listed for the EU18-U, so contact us with your model and we will source the seals.
