Q: Why are there two quartz sleeve retaining nuts for similar models?

The 20079 suits the 25 to 150 W vessels, CL-QSR-25 suits the 240 and 300 W twin-lamp models and CL-QSR-28 is for the SLP/CLP systems — check the diagram for your build before ordering.

Q: How do I tell an older 50–150 W vessel from the current one?

The exploded diagrams are split before and after 8/20; compare yours against both, or send us a photo and we will identify it.

Q: What does the UV intensity sensor actually do?

It measures the UV reaching the sensor window, which is the only direct check that the system is still delivering its design dose as the lamp ages and the sleeve fouls.

Q: Are these parts for the SMART UV or the SLP/CLP systems?

Both — the unions, gaskets, connectors and 20079 nut are SMART UV parts, while CL-QSR-28 and the control sensors are for the SLP/CLP range.
