X100 Bag Filter Housing
The X100 Bag Filter Housing is a 100% polypropylene vessel for mechanical filtration of fresh water, seawater and recirculating aquaculture (RAS) water. It takes a standard Size 5 filter bag (6″ × 20″), and a tool-less twist-off lid makes bag change-outs fast with minimal process interruption. With no metallic parts to rust or corrode, it suits salt water and chemically aggressive duties where steel housings struggle, and runs on 2″ ports.

How much flow does the X100 handle?
The X100 is rated up to 300 LPM. This is a maximum clean-flow figure (measured at ΔP = 1.0 psi with no bag installed); achieved flow is lower and depends on the fluid, viscosity, temperature, micron rating and bag fitted — talk to us about sizing for your system.
Why polypropylene for aquaculture water?
Polypropylene has no metal parts to rust or corrode, so it stands up to seawater and chlorinated or chemically dosed water that attacks steel housings. It is FDA-compliant, light to handle, and the UV inhibitor keeps it stable in outdoor, all-weather installations.
Aquaculture applications
Suitable for fresh water, seawater and RAS. The X100 is used for pre-filtration ahead of UV, ozone or fine filtration, removing solids, fish waste and particulate to protect downstream equipment; for incoming water treatment on seawater and bore supplies; and as polishing filtration on recirculating systems and hatcheries. What filter bags does it take?
Standard welded-ring Size 5 filter bags (6″ × 20″), available from 1 to 800 micron. Felt bags suit general solids loading; finer micron ratings polish to a tighter clarity. We can advise the right micron for your species, biomass and target water quality.
